Property Settlement Calculator happy guy businessman holding a calculator

The AussieLegal Property Settlement Calculator aims to assist you in estimating your assets and liabilities if your relationship has irretrievably broken down. It shows what a fair and equitable division of property would be after you have finalised your separation.

The assumptions we have used in the Calculator were formulated after investigation of actual case history and rulings by Courts. We have also asked experienced family law practitioners to test the assumptions used in the calculator. Thus, we were able to see if the results were reasonably consistent with their own estimated equitable division of assets.

The Property Settlement Calculator also offers a basis for discussion between both parties for them to reach an amicable agreement.  Hence, the parties do not become victims of protracted and expensive negotiations between their respective advising lawyers.

Once the parties have agreed to the terms, then the settlement can be documented through a Binding Financial Agreement or Consent Orders.
