Letters of Administration 

If a loved one has died without a Will, then you or any relative may apply for a Grant of Letters of Administration. Our Letters of Administration enables you to complete your application requirements following a simplified and stress-free process. Thus, allowing you to access and distribute the deceased estate according to the intestacy laws of the relevant State in a timely manner.

In Australia, if someone dies without leaving a Will or the Will has been found invalid, then the deceased is said to have died intestate. When this happens, the entitlements of each family member over the deceased estate will follow the State intestacy laws.  This includes the distribution of the deceased’s assets such as bank accounts(s), shares, superannuation and real estate.

Our Letters of Administration application process has been designed to help you prepare the relevant forms and notices as quickly as possible. HOW DOES IT WORK?

   2. CONFIRM: Check your inbox for the confirmation email and follow the instructions to download the information leaflet and questionnaire.
   3. UNDERSTAND: Complete the questionnaire and return it to AussieLegal via email with a copy of the deceased’s Death Certificate.
   4. DRAFTING: AussieLegal will prepare your Grant of Letters of Administration application documents in consultation with you. We will also prepare your advertisements based on your instructions.
   5. REVIEW: Once you are satisfied with the draft documents, we will send you the finalised copy along with further instructions regarding signing, advertising, and filing your Grant of Letters of Administration application.
