 DIY Legal Will

If you have a straightforward estate or have just started investing in financial and property assets, then it’s time you consider creating your Will. The AussieLegal DIY Legal Will is designed to help individuals document their wishes and instructions as to the distribution of their assets upon their death.

Our DIY Legal Will includes three (3) editable Legal Will templates in Word or .doc format—for a single person, person with spouse and person with spouse and young children. Also included in the kit is the Write your Own Will Fact Sheet with a step-by-step guide and examples to follow. We regularly review and update our kits to ensure they are current and comply with federal and State legislation.

However, our Legal Will templates are designed for people who have relatively straight forward estates and may not be suitable for more complicated situations. You should seek expert legal advice, if you are considering one or more of the following:

• A family discretionary trust.
• Giving a person a right of occupancy in a house/unit for that person’s life or a set period.
• Setting up a trust for pets.
• Setting up a testamentary trust (i.e., a discretionary trust in a Will).
• Giving gifts to organisations that are not charities.
• A former spouse to whom you are legally obliged to make maintenance.
• Someone who might challenge the terms of the Will that you are proposing to draft.
