Description
Divorce
If you want to legally end your marriage, then you need to apply for a grant of divorce. Our Divorce is a ‘start to finish’ paralegal-assisted service to help you complete your application in a timely manner.
There is a ‘no fault’ divorce in Australia. This means the Court will not consider the reason for the marriage breakdown. Instead, it will focus on proof that there is no reasonable chance for you to get back together in the future. Moreover, the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia has jurisdiction over divorce matters—Part VI of the Family Law Act 1975.
Designed to streamline the application process, our Divorce service is applicable to same-sex spouses and both sole and joint applications. It also includes creating an account on your behalf at the Commonwealth Courts Portal and submitting your application electronically to the Court. However, divorce is simply the legal end of your marriage and does not include financial matters or arrangements for children.
AussieLegal offers a range of estate planning products designed specifically to help you close the chapter on your marriage. This includes our Binding Separation Agreement, Binding Child Support Agreement and Consent Orders.
